Movember Campaign

Dear Beta Phi Alumni,

This year, I have been lucky enough to work as a Student & Community Ambassador for the Movember Foundation, which raises money for Men's Health in areas such as Prostate & Testicular Cancer as well as Suicide Prevention. In this role, I raise money and awareness for the Foundation through hosting various events during the month of November.

As the former Beta Phi Philanthropy Chair, I am doing my best to keep this campaign of mine and the Beta Phi fundraising separate. I would like Beta Phi and Sigma Chi, as a men's organization, to be aware of the work I am doing. My personal goal is to raise $10,000 and I would be extremely grateful for your support and help.

Too many men don’t speak up about their issues and it is often too late to help them. As a men’s organization, I want Sigma Chi to contribute and support my campaign as much as humanly possible. I believe that in our current time, there is a lot of toxic masculinity and skewed ideas of what it means to be a man. I want my campaign to inspire those who have been struggling and are afraid to speak out about it. I want them to tackle their problems head on and lead better lives, but the only way to do this is with tons of support.

To contribute, (ANY amount helps) visit my Movember page here. There will be an area that says “Donate to Oliver”. If you could then click on that link, you should be prompted to enter a donation amount and submit your details.

Thank you in advance for your support,
Oliver Shackley
