Brothers and colleagues,

I write tonight with an important message. 71st Grand Consul Steve Schuyler has suffered a stroke and is currently undergoing a rehabilitation program which requires a combination of physical therapy and rest. Doctors expect a full recovery but have not yet given Steve a projected timetable.

Respecting the need for the fraternity to carry on its affairs during his recovery period, and to allow him to focus on the rehabilitation program as his top priority, Grand Consul Schuyler has asked Grand Pro Consul Sanderson to step forward to assist him with the duties of the Grand Consulship on an interim basis until he is able to re-assume his duties. Grand Pro Consul Sanderson has graciously agreed. Until further notice, please direct all business correspondence or inquiries which would otherwise be sent to Grand Consul Schuyler instead to Grand Pro Consul Sanderson via his email at [email protected]. You may, as always, reach out to me directly. We will keep you updated as Brother Schuyler’s recovery proceeds.

Due to the need to adhere to the rehabilitation program and to get as much rest as possible, the Schuyler family has asked that we refrain from visiting. Instead, if you would like to send a message of well wishes, please do so via email ([email protected]) or mail. I have included Steve’s office address below.

I know you will join me in expressing deep care and concern for Steve. It is moments like these that the power of the fraternal bond we share becomes fully revealed. To that end, I hope you will join me in praying for a full and speedy recovery for Brother Schuyler. With the echo of our voices and good thoughts combined, there is no doubt that the ethereal force of our fraternal feelings will be felt all the way across the bounds of time and space and directly into the heart of our Worthy Grand Consul. In classic Steve Schuyler fashion, we surely take comfort in the knowledge that he is one step ahead and sending his fondest feelings of brotherly love right back at all of us.
