New Pledge Class

The Active Brothers at the Beta Phi Chapter of Sigma chi have extended 22 bids to some impressive young men. Our average GPA for incoming freshman is 3.29 and including our sophomore’s that brings our new pledge class GPA to a 3.32! There are a couple of individuals I would like to draw attention to:

Carson Hill, our pledge class annotator, is from Portland Oregon. In high school, he was a student ambassador, captain of his football team, and captain of his baseball team all while maintaining a 3.7 GPA. Because of his academic accomplishments he became a member of the National Honors Society.

Sam Pistorius (Phoenix) has been involved with the startup of two different companies and has achieved eagle scout rank.

I will give you a direct quote from our Pledge Class President, Tyler Rieger. I believe his words will speak volumes of his character.

“My name is Tyler Rieger and I am from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I've played Ice Hockey and Baseball throughout my life. Aside from sports, in high school I was involved in our pediatric cancer fundraiser every spring, DECA (a business oriented club), and Spanish club. I am very involved in health and try to eat as healthy as I can, even though that's a pretty tough task as a college student. Coming all the way from Philadelphia to Arizona, I knew I had no friends at first, but ever since rush week and accepting a bid to pledge Sigma Chi my life is already starting to change, and it's just the beginning. I was elected as our pledge class president, which I feel will help me grow as a person and a student. I'm very much looking forward to an exciting four years at the University of Arizona and being a part of the Sigma Chi organization.”

This is just a few members of our very impressive Phi Class. If you have any questions about our new pledge class or are looking for ways to get involved please feel free to text or email me at any time.

Your Beta Phi Magister,

AJ Scott
